Noah's version of Silent Night

Elijah and I could help ourselves! He is just so funny and his voice sounds so deep, it's so cute!

I was about to tear up when he first told me this story. It just clarifies that he really has grown up! It's a bitter sweet feeling.....sniff sniff.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend, everyone!!

The night before we talked to Noah about what was going to happen the first day of school so he would have an idea of what it's like. He was excited and couldn't wait til the next day!

Monday morning he got up brushed his teeth, and changed his clothes all by himself. As we got out of the car I asked him if he were excited for the first day of school and he replied "Mom, you already asked me that." I guess I have worn that question out...and a little nervous for him. I don't think he was slightly nervous.

The school house was full of kids and parents and a little chaos. We managed to find the cafeteria and got in line to get breakfast. We would have made breakfast for him the first day but we wanted him to get in the groove of things on the first day. Its so much better for him to eat there because I don't have a lot of time in the morning to fix him BF. So we go through the line and he didn't know what to do....bless is heart....we stood by him and told him what he needed to do. He is just so small.....he could barely see the his options. After he got want he wanted, he was looking for a place to sit. He wanted to sit at a table where no one was sitting but we had to tell him he couldn't sit there because that is where other kids sat to wait on their teacher to come get them. So he picked to sit by these two girls......he was very shy.....didn't want to touch his food. But after words of encouragement from us he stated eating. I felt so bad for him while as he was opening his syrup it spilled all over is pants and down his legs. He looked like he was about to cry......I had to do the ol spit and clean technique on his pants. When he finished eating he had to carry his tray to the trash can, empty the try, and stack it. As he was trying to do that the lady was arguing with the janitor about how the kids needed to do it on their own. The janitor didn't agree with the school and said, "These kids need HELP!" The janitor is our neighbor, has been working there for a very long time and all the kids love him. Way to stand up for the kids, janitor!

The first bell rings and the teachers comes to pick up her students. Noah, meets his teacher Mrs. Nancy West for the first time because he missed his Meet the Teacher Night last Thursday due to summer vacation with his cousins. His teacher is so SWEET and I'm sure he is going to have a great school year with her.

Here he is walking in line. He is one of the SMALLEST kids in his class....he is so CUTE!!! As we were walking down the hall I started to get teary eyed because our little boy is growing up so fast. He doesn't need Mommy anymore!

His teacher is in the purple top.
Look how big all his classmates are!! What do their moms feed them...I need to know!
Here he looks so grown up!
The final bell rang while we were in his class room and Noah, clung to my leg!! This broke my heart.....he know we had to leave and it killed me that he felt alone. But I had to be strong for him...we gave him a hug and kiss and told him to have a good day and that we would see him after school. He was fine with that and quietly sat in his chair. I got one last smile from him as we were walking out!!! He is such a sweet little child!
During the day I was worried about him and about lunch time! Just hoping and praying that things are going well for him. When I got off work I couldn't wait until i got home to see how exciting his day turned out. He said he had a good day, told me what he had for lunch, and what they did in school. Said that they practiced how to line up in the hall way, how to be quiet in the halls, how to walk in a straight line, writing, and he couldn't remember the other things. And that is teacher gave only him a lolly pop! So he is already the teachers pet...NICE Noah!!! No...that isn't very nice of me....but I'm glad he is being a good student!
Some downer news: Last night he woke up crying....must have been from a bad dream. I checked him and he was burning up. His temperature was at 100.1 degrees, gave him some Motrin and prayed it would be nothing in the morning. My prayer didn't come in time....checked him this morning and it was 100.8. I told him that he will not be attending school...his reply...YES! I'm not sure why he said that because he seemed he had a good day yesterday. I just told him that its okay to stay home when your sick but school is very important. he said, "Yes, Mom!" so he stayed home with his dad.
Elijah took him to the doctors today....turns out that he tested negative for strep throat and test for whooping cough won't come in until Friday. Not good. So that means he can't go back to school until Thursday once he has been medicated for 48 hours. I just feel bad that he has to miss two days of school.....I just don't want him to get behind. He is a fast learner so I pray that it will be okay. My poor baby!!!

This pass weekend we drove down to Houston, TX to pick up our very much MISSED son, NOAH. When we arrived he was super excited to see us and asked if we were going home right then. I guess two weeks with his cousins was too long!!!

While he was at his cousins he did allot of swimming and can now swim under water at a good long distance. We are so PROUD of him!!! I want to see if they have a swim team in Fort Worth for him to join because he is really good and he LOVES to swim!

One thing that Elijah and I aren't too happy about is he watched TV most of the time....not good. When we got home Saturday he asked for a TV in his room. Are you kidding me!!! Heck NO!!! We are still adjusting to being back home and he is doing well.

Sunday we went Bowling with the gang! We had a lot of fun and Noah won the first round of bowling against the girls. After the first game he got bored and wanted to play in the arcade. He is just so funny to watch bowl because he would get to heaviest ball, throw it and hit most or all of the pins. While mom gets a 37 on the first game and he gets 120....what? I'm not the best bowler but it's fun and different.

Noah, getting the royal treatment from the girls!! He asked the girls to give him a massage and they said okay....hahahhahaha!!!

Elijah and I took advantage of the ALONE time we had and took a

MINI VACATION down to SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS.

We stayed at the OMNI LA MANSION DEL RIO Hotel right on the river walk!! The hotel is really NICE and everyone was so ACCOMMODATING! We felt living it up and got Valet parking so we wouldn't have to worry about finding a parking space.

Friday night we ate at the IRON CACTUS which is the place that the ladies and I go to eat when ever we come to San Anton. I thought I would share that place with Elijah since he always hears me talking about it. After dinner we walked a around the river abit and turned in for the night.

Saturday morning we ordered room service and ordered the most expensive thing on the menu because the hotel gave us four complimentary vouchers. When they wheeled our breakfast in it was so nice!! I felt like a QUEEN getting breakfast in bed! The food was really good too!!

After eating breakfast we drove back up to New Braunsfels, Texas and went floating for the day on the Guadalupe River. Elijah had never been floating so we decided it would be fun for the two of us to go. It was the PERFECT day and the water was a REFRESHING cold to the hot day. It was a four hour float but we ended up floating for about 6 hours. So much fun and there were a ton of people there. Good fun and relaxing day!

After floating we cleaned up and went out to the HARD ROCK CAFE for dinner. We ordered our drinks and food. We were so hungry because before we went floating we had eaten a big breakfast but then missed lunched. I love Hard Rock Cafe because when you order from the Keepers menu(drinks) you get to keep the glass cups. Yeah, I have never gone to a restaurant where you order something and then get to keep it. AWESOME!!!! Yes, I had to ask the waitress if we get a new one...because that would be wrong if they made you take the one everyone had been drinking out of. YUCK!!! I was pretty HAPPY with my PRIZE!!

After eating we went to get a 50 minute massage at the WATERMARK SPA which is right across that bridge. I don't have any pictures, sorry! I wanted to get a couple session but they did have any available so we took the separate one that just came open because someone canceled. I didn't get to see Elijah the whole time I was there but I wasn't complaining. You know I love you, hon! WS is really SWEET!! They give you shoes and soft robs to wear, and locker for your things. Before your session you have a choice of utilizing the sauna, saltwater hot tub or siting in a dimmed lit room and getting a few moments of shut eyes. I chose the dim room...after eating and floating all day...it was the perfect choose. The massage was INCREDIBLE!!! I think at one point I was drooling or on the verge of sleeping or both...hahahha!!! It was a really GOOD way to end the day!!

That night we didn't do much of anything. We walked around the river walk, sat and enjoyed each other and called it a night because it was just so hot and there where so many people walking here and there. It felt like I was about to fall in the river that is how crowded it was. The BEST time to walk the RW is in the morning and that is exactly what we did the next morning after eating yet another AMAZING breakfast!!

What a GOOF BALL!!

Awww, I love this MAN!!

We made one last stop over at SAN MARCOS, TX to do some outlet shopping before heading home! Yeah, I know I'm soo LUCKY!!! Relaxing, floating, spa, and shopping ............it couldn't get any better!!!

Our Adventures while Noah was gone for the summer was SUPER FUN!!! At first it was like what do we do with ourselves but then after the third day we got in the groove of being childless. Don't get me wrong we MISSED HIM VERY MUCH but it was NICE to be able to RELAX and not worry about giving baths, eating on time and watching cartoons most of the time. Here are a couple of things we got to enjoy!

My girlfriends and I went to a local winery call the Light Catcher Winery & Bistro. They feature different things every night and the night that we went was burger on the patio night. They have amazing burgers and sides. And the wine is SUPER YUMMY!! It was my very first time to have a wine tasting and I will have to tell you that is one way to get tipsy....hahahaha!!! It was really good but my favorite is called THE KISS. I loved it so much I bought a bottle to share and one to take home to share with Elijah.

After the winery the girls wanted to go out! I didn't have anything to hold me back so we went out to downtown Fort Worth for some singing at Pete's Piano Bar and allot of dancing at Bar Nine. I went out as I was...raggy short jeans and all...I didn't care how I looked...I was just going to have fun with my ladies.

The Night the of the Green Light Awesomeness

This weekend we stayed in and went over to Sarah and Austin 's house. Just a night of good ol FUN and FRIENDS. We sang along with Austin while he was playing his guitar and went picture wild with my camera. Here are several ROCK STAR SWAG pictures.

We always have a ton of FUN!
Elijah and I had a lot of fun together and it was good to bring that side of us out again. Most of the other days we just stayed in, watched movies and enjoyed the quietness. There where a couple of things that I wish we could have accomplished like painting a few rooms and painting the garage floor but I guess those projects will have to wait. I did however clean Noah's room, added new shelves in his closet, cleaned out his dresser, organized the hall closet, cleaned out the pantry, and reorganized our master closet. So at least I got some things done.

My sister had to leave early because Hector had to perform at their church and they wanted to take Noah with them for two weeks before school started. Elijah and I are taking full advantage of the time we have, so right after the party we decided to go camping. This was my very FIRST time to go camping so I was very excited!! I'm pretty good about bugs and all so I have no problem being in the wild. Now if we encountered a BEAR that will be different.

Elijah is setting up our brand new tent!! This is a four person tent which felt like a two person but I guess if you put a full size blowup bed in it would fit less people. I guess if we really camped out we would be in sleeping bags. We like to camp in luxury...hahahha!!!

See it looks small, ugh?

Sarah and I just seating back watching the boys do all the work.

Elijah, playing in the fire!

Our little visitor.....nah let me change that.... HUGE visitor.

The next morning we got up to cook breakfast.

Practiced our skills with the sling shot.

Waiting on the food to cook!

Doesn't that look yummy!

Elijah, didn't like his food...it was nasty. Hahahaha!

After breakfast we loaded up our gear and headed out to the lake for some rowing. It was a beautiful day and the water was cool. We did some cliff diving but most of the time we floated in the water. It was very RELAXING!
Sigh...
Our CREW
We are having such a great time but we MISS Noah so so much!!

Noah's party was a BIG turn out!!! We rented this HUGE inflatable slip-n-slide and had a 2ft wading pool but most of their attention went on the slip-n-slide. I think everyone had a great time even thou it was about 100+ degrees outside. The water helped cool things down a bit!
I had been planning for his 5th party for two months and I'm so happy that it was a success and everyone enjoyed themselves. THANK YOUs goes out to my sister-n-law Leslie, who made the SPOILED WALL BANNERS!! Everyone LOVED it! Don't worry I networked for you too. So don't be surprise if you get some convos. My girlfriend, Tawana for bringing her famous meat balls! They where so good and it was one if the first things to go. Sorry, I totally forgot to take pictures of the food. My sister Theodith for cooking Filipino noodles and Hector for grilling burgers and hot dogs. And I couldn't have done all of this if it wasn't for the support of my loving husband, Elijah. Thank you, hun!

The Surf the Wave came two hours early so the boys jumped right on it as soon as it was up and running. Party didn't start til 1pm and we rented it for 6 hours.......I couldn't stop them because they were having so much fun so I just let them have at it. After about a hour and a half we turned it off so they could have a little break before his guest started arriving. We were so glad that we rented the SW because it was SUPER FUN! Kept the kiddos happy!!! Most of the party consisted of that, a little bit of eating, and then back to playing.

After about an hour and half of playing and eating we were ready for some cupcakes. I bought the sparkling 5 candle for his cake and his expression was so FUNNY!! He was just so tried that he had no energy to be excited and as the candle went out they all thought that the candle was going to explode.....it was so funny!

Time for PRESENTS!

I felt so bad for Noah here because he was so worn out he didn't even want to hit his pinata. He is zoning out in that picture. He did snap out of it to get some candy! Hahaha!!

All the girls LOVE, Noah!!

After everyone left the adults had to get in the fun!! Elijah and I thought it would be fun for me to ride on his back.....but we were sadly wrong....we ended up bumping heads. Very painful....kids don't try this.

All in all we had a BLAST!!!!

Thank you, for my banners, the cards, money and the birthday wishes!!

I love and miss you all, NOAH
