Austin and Sarah invited us to spend the weekend with their family in Austin, Texas. We stayed at their Uncle Hank and Aunt Erma's house. They live in a quite neighborhood of about 2+ acres of land. Amazingly beautiful property! I love the yard, all the mature trees and the manicured landscape. They are so welcoming and offered us anything we needed.

Uncle Hank & Aunt Erma

Friday night we stayed up talking and swinging on the huge tree in the front yard talking about everything, laughing, drinking and having a great time.

Saturday mooring we woke up to a bunch of talking and yelling kids getting to know each other.

Michael (5) and Marco (2)

Camp Site

The weather was perfect...not too HOT and not too CHILL. We also set up a volleyball and badminton court. None of us are coordinated enough to play except for Felicia and Blake but we all had GOOD laughs watching each other play!

Uncle Hank's neighbors raises chickens, horses, goats, and have two gigantic dogs. I'm not fond of really big dogs but these dogs were so lovable. I still didn't get near them....no way!

While the guys were hanging around talking the ladies and I went grocery shopping. For dinner Sarah made pasta from scratch and Elijah grilled hot dogs, cheddar burst, and sausages.

The kids ran in and out of the house/tents and pretty much did what they wanted to.

This dog is so LOVABLE. No matter who you were he would come and lay his head on your lap and love on you. Sarah and Austin took him from the Johnnies for Michael and Marco. Noah loved him but mom and dad say, "NO to DOGS".

Saturday night we just hung out and sat around the camp fire talking and making plans for future events.

Sunday morning this is what we woke up to. It was very humid and there was dew drippings in our tent. I guess that's what we get for not putting our rain shield on....ugh.

Noah was the only kid who wanted to sleep in the tent. All the other kids slept in the house. He loves camping! He and his friends mostly played in the tent, jumping on the air mattress, climbing trees, playing in M&M room, and watching DINO SQUAD like a thousand times.

The kids also got to go swimming in the neighbors pool.

While the kids were swimming we were busy preparing lunch/dinner. Sarah, made pancit(Filipino dish) and Austin smoked beef brisket. It was all so GOOD. After eating all I wanted to do was take a BIG FAT NAP.

Uncle Hank put the kids to work by picking up stick for the camp fire. They started off with a half full wagon and they filled it to the top. They did such a GREAT JOB that I rewarded them with there owe roll of bubble gum. Which was a BIG HIT for the kids!

Our little spider monkey!

Our last night we roasted marshmallows to make s'mores for the kiddos.

We had such a WONDERFUL time!
Many thanks to Uncle Hank and Aunt Erma!
